After retrieving the Aque Blastia from Barbatos the group returns to Dahngrest when Estelle finally decides to go back to the castle. However, she is met with an unexpected twist. A big phoenix looking monster appears before Estelle and shouts out, "The insipid poison of this world must be purged.". With these words implanted in her mind, Estelle now refuses to go back into isolation at the castle and instead, with the help of Yuri decides to go find this monster and learn the truth behind the words. The newly formed guild, Brave Vesperia created by Yuri and Karol along with their only member, Judith and somewhat of a member, Rita take on Estelle's request and decide to travel to the Sands of Kogorh to meet the creature who Judith calls "Phaeroh". Raven joins the group a bit later and finally, all the playable characters in the game are in your party.

Sadly, the group is unsuccessful at locating Phaeroh and decides to head back to Nordopolica to meets Belius as Raven needs to deliver an important letter to her. Upon meeting Belius, they find out she is an Entelexeia, creatures that bear striking resemblance to monsters. Belius tells the group of Estelle's identity as the "Child of the Full Moon" and just before Belius is able to tell more the Hunting Blades appear, wanting to kill Belius. As the Hunting Blades has also released all the monsters in the coliseum, the group heads there to fight them off. After countless fights, Belius drops in and is badly injured. Estelle runs to heal her but Belius insists she stay away but it's too late. Once Estelle uses her artes Belius suddenly goes out of control and the group is forced to fight her. After the fight, Belius dies and the group retrieves the apatheia, the clear ciel crystal that appeared after she vanished. Estelle is speechless; instead of healing her Estelle's power was Belius' doom. Yuri tells Estelle to think about it later because right now, the group has to escape the coliseum.
