After ending Alexei's plans, the adephagos is looming in the sky, ready to devour the world. Rita manages to find a way to stop it by converting aer into mana. In order for that to happen, apatheia must be converted into spirits. The team decides to head to the blade drifts of Zopheir because of its active aer krene and see if the process can work. However, before initiating it, Rita releases the control placed on Estelle used to manage her power. They then successfully convert the apatheia from Belius into a spirit, Undine. Undine then manages to keep Estelle's power under control and she, finally is free. Estelle can now use her powers without harming herself or the world and everyone is overjoyed including Estelle herself.
